Rome Fortune debuts a new single this afternoon, with production from Montreal-born beatsmith Kaytranada. Kaytranada, who is known for his electronic, dance-able production, comes correct here with just that vibe. Rome likes to keep us guessing when it comes to his sound, and so while this isn't entirely new territory for Rome, it does veer from the minimalistic style found on projects like Small VVorld and the Beautiful Pimp series. The record only has one rap verse from Rome (with his usual amount of charisma, though), instead relying more on repetitive and layered vocals that almost seem like an afterthought to the production.
I'm wondering if this will be the direction Rome heads on his debut album via Fool's Gold, and if so, can you dig it?

We do not have to stay classy
We do not have to get Uber
Or we can get Uber and touch in the backseat
