Robin Thicke premiered "Get Her Back" at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards earlier this evening, which took place at MGM's Grand Garden Arena in Vegas. Before his set, he accepted the award for Best R&B Single, and ended his speech as follows: "Most importantly, I'd like to thank my wife for her love and support, and for putting up with me for all these years."
Thicke recently split with his wife and high school sweetheart Paula Patton, and this new single certainly seems like an attempt to reconcile with her specifically, as it finds him admitting to wrongdoings and vowing to make amends over apologetic, funk-tinged riffs. Also, before his performance of the song, he asked the audience to help him "get her back."

Quotable Lyrics
I never should've raised my voice
Or made you feel so small
I never should've told you to do anything at all
I should've kissed you longer
I should've held you stronger
And I'll wait for forever for you to love me again
