Since releasing his debut album Next To Nothing this summer, Rittz has been relatively quiet, dropping a few videos here and there but not granting us much in the way of new music. But today, his fans will be pleased to hear "Fish Hook," a track the Atlanta resident recorded for DJ Burn One's upcoming album Greenwood.
Produced by Five Points, the track begins with an impeccably jazzy sample, before unfolding into a composition that includes cascading piano lines, a low-key bassline and a nice, down south beat. Alternating between beat-driven and drumless parts, "Fish Hook" is definitely good eenough to have been on included on Rittz's album.
Quotable Lyrics
You talk a ton of shit on Twitter just 'cause I ain't answer ya
Don't mean I didn't see it, now I'm in your city and you act like you a fan of my
Music 'cause you scared I might flip and put my hands on ya
Say you got your hammer cocked, but you ain't never shot nothin'
