Rick Ross is no longer a member of the Def Jam family. Earlier today, it was revealed that the MMG boss has signed a new deal with L.A. Reid and Epic Records.
Rozay had been signed to Def Jam for the past ten years, dropping eight studio albums in that stint including last year’s Black Market release. However, the move doesn’t come as much of a shock as the bawse man has been hinting this move for the past couple months, even tweeting out a picture with him & LA Reid doing business together back in September.
Note, that this is just a solo deal for Rozay, and not the MMG camp, as they’re still inked with Warner Music. However, a change in the future could be likely to happen now.
Ross will join an Epic roster already consisting of Future, Diddy, Mariah Carey, Ciara, and Travis Scott among many others.
