Moxie Java

Rexx Life Raj is a rapper out of Berkley, California, who's been getting some attention in the Bay Area. Today, he's teamed with yet another promising up-and-comer from the region, Nef The Pharaoh, whose "Big Tymin" single has been something of a summer anthem depending where you're located.

Their new collab, "Moxie Java," is a mellow record, built off of a subtle groove, putting most of the stakes in the performances. Fortunately, both rappers rise to the occasion, with Java nimbly maneuvering over the fading synths, while Nef comes in with a looser, more melodic flow, taking the track in a slightly different but just as effective direction.
