Raury has been fairly quiet since the release of his debut album, All We Need, in 2015. he did share the genre-defying ballad, "Home," back in February, but for the most part, he's been laying low. The Atlanta singer and rapper has ended his musical dought today with the release of "NEVERALONE," building a vocal collage as its backdrop, complimented by a simple drum beat and buzzing bassdrum. From there, he alternates between sweet vocal melodies and loose rap structures. It's a natural progression from his prior material, sounding glossier than ever, but not sacrificing his spiritual message. Could a new project be on the way?
Quotable Lyrics:
I didn't have supporters, didn't have another by my side
Didn't have a homie, didn't have a mentor, didn't have a father in my life
But I'ma be alright, beaming to the skies
And if I touch the clouds, then I might be alright
