On February 12th, Ralo released Famerican Gangster 2 and announced that he had signed to Gucci Mane's new imprint 1017 Eskimo Records. Ralo spoke on his relationship with Gucci and explained why he decided to sign with him in his newest interview segment with HNHH.
Ralo explained that one of the biggest reasons he signed to 1017 Eskimo is Gucci understood what it meant to go to jail. "Working with him, he don't want to go back," Ralo said. "And I don't want to go back. And people don't know how it feels to even go through that."
"He know how it feels. Don't no CEO know how that feels," he added, echoing 21 Savage's recent comment that he signed to L.A. Reid because Reid is one of the few black executives in music.
"Not to many rappers in the game actually went to prison and almost got their life took away from them, or caught a murder case," Ralo continued. "Me and him, we went through that together. Murder cases, prison. It's just impossible that we even linked up. Because two people like that don't usually come together. He keep me on my Ps and Qs, I keep him on his Ps and Qs. You can't really find that in two people. He's like an older me."
"And it just clicking together so awesome, and we just working and trying to take it to the next level."
