Raekwon is dropping a throwback track every week, last week taking on Rose Royce's "Wishing On A Star", rapping over the song on the first half before letting the sample ride out.
On his latest the Wu Chef applies the same formula to Horace Brown's 90s R&B classic, "Trippin". Rae sounds more than at home on the smooth record, bringing his clever quips and wordplay out in full measure.
The rapper will be giving us a new one of these very week until we get his new studio album, m, F.I.L.A., which so far has no release date. So whether sooner or later, we'll be getting consistent output from Rae in the near future.
Quotable Lyrics:
She hate me
Got caught doin' threesomes in the Jag
Rollin' joints, dumb face on
No points nigga, now you gotta go
