R. Kelly will be dropping more chapters of his heralded "Trapped In The Closet" series, and returns to vintage form on his new LP.

One of the great legends of R&B, R. Kelly, has stockpiled new installments in his "Trapped In The Closet" series, and says his next album Black Panties will have a class Kells sound.

In the late 90s and early 2000s, R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet" series broke the mold for what constituted a music video, and had produced a series of mini-movies.  In a recent interview with TIME (via HHNM), the R&B mogul says he will be releasing 20 new chapters titled Trapped In The Closet: The Next Installment, and that this is just a portion of the episodes he has waiting for release.  "We just shot 20 chapters. They’ll be coming out the day after Thanksgiving. Trapped in the Closet is forever. I’ve got like a hundred chapters to come," Kelly said he also promises plot twists and the return of classic characters.

Currently, on his "Single Ladies" tour, Kelly says he will be previewing some chapters at shows, and he also talked about the sound and feel of his forthcoming Black Panties LP, and describes it as having a vintage R. Kelly sound.  He plans on giving the people what they want and providing plenty of "Trapped In The Closet"-esque ballads, saying "I decided to go back and do an old-school R. Kelly album like 12 Play. That’s pretty much what it’s going to be, focusing on more of the bedroom ballads. I like to give people variety and I just gave them two years of romance albums and soul."
