R. Kelly has a handful of platinum albums under his belt, but judging from the sales projections of his new album The Buffet, his latest LP might take a while to get there.
According to HDD, Kells is set to move 28-33k copies of his new album this week (32-37k with streams), which is a considerable dip from 2013's Black Panties, which brought in 133k.
Meanwhile, one of R&B's newer voices is set to outsell Kelly, but not by much, as August Alsina's projections for This Thing Called Life stack up to 30-35k (35-40k including streams).
Maybe dropping right before the holidays isn't as lucrative as it once was? Stay tuned for the final sales numbers next week.
