We're cutting right to the chase in our new interview series, Quick5. The concept is simple-- we'll be asking some of your favorite artists 5 quick questions that are on our minds, and get a full update in about a minute's time.
Our first guest on the series is Chicago's Lil Bibby, who as you probably know, was recently included in XXL's freshman 2014 class.
The rapper first let us in on a couple of possible features on his upcoming EP, The Book. "I'm waiting on some stuff from [Young] Thug to get back. I'm just in the studio, maybe Kevin Gates on there," he said, before sharing one artist he's been listening to lately. "I don't listen to a lot of rap but.. Young Dolph," said the rapper.
As far as when we'll see the project, Bibby didn't have a concrete release date, but was confident he'd have it done soon. "Still might take me like a month, 5 weeks," he shared.
When asked about how things have been since he was announced as a Freshman, Bibby explained they were both exciting and tiring. "It feels good man. I'm getting a lot of attention. So, you know I'm not gonna get a lot of sleep for a long time," he said, laughing. He then named a couple of the artists he felt should've made the cover. "Probably [Lil] Herb, Young Thug, that's about it."
Watch the full interview below, and look out for more instalments in our Quick5 series very soon.
