Rick Ross’ 37th birthday will not be one he soon forgets. Reports came out that the Bawse was the victim of a drive by shooting while travelling in his Rolls Royce to LIV Nightclub in Miami to celebrate his birthday. Police report that the Rolls was travelling on Las Olas when a passing car opened fire, at which time Rozay’s car swerved into a building to escape gunfire. Recent collaborator, Pusha T said in an interview that he reached out to the MMG mogul afterwards and it appears he will be alright.
Some people have thrown jabs at Ross after the shooting, but King Push was nothing but supportive telling MTV, "I don't wanna hear about that with anybody. I definitely hit him up like, 'Yo just let me know you're okay.’” The Miami rapper responded to Push, “He was just like, 'Yeah he's just layin' back.' That was enough for me."
Discussing how the street life affects himself, Rozay and other rappers, the G.O.O.D. Music artist talked about how that way of life follows rappers, even after they have become rich, or changed addresses. "It's tough out here as an artist and being in rap it's like this is the only profession where you don't really leave your core," the Clipse rapper added, "You don't really leave your upbringing. You don't really leave that behind; you stay in it lyrically and so on and so forth. So it's like you can't really get out of it, you can't really get away from it. I don't care how much money you have."
