Pusha Season is upon us. Last week we learned that the Virginia rapper would be taking over as President of GOOD Music, which was followed by the release of his gritty single, "Untouchable". If that wasn't evidence enough something was brewing is the Push camp, the rapper gave an official update on his album at a New York event last night.
King Push: Darkest Before Dawn is on its way, with Push playing multiple records from the forthcoming project and revealing an impressive list of names involved. FADER reports that Push named producers on the album as Kanye West, Timbaland, Q-Tip, Nashiem Myrick, Hudson Mohawke, Boi-1da, and Puff Daddy. On top of that, he listed some of the guest vocalists set to make appearances, which included Beanie Sigel, A$AP Rocky, The-Dream, Kehlani, and Jill Scott. A collaboration with Future was among the songs played, but was said to be slated for another project.
Some are reporting that Darkest Before Dawn is actually a prequel to the previously announced King Push, and that the album proper will follow, but it seems more likely that this is the real LP with a new subtitle.
Whatever it is, it's new music from Pusha, and it's rumored to drop before the end of the year. Y'all ready?
