As if the trailer for Nas new movie "The Land" didn't look sufficiently lit, the soundtrack might be even better. A star-studded 14-track affair, the OST features Kanye West, Erykah Badu, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, Nas, & a host of others.
This morning, NPR premiered a promising Pusha T X Jeremih cut from the soundtrack called "Paid." It's a joyful ode to acquiring cash... truly one of the greatest feelings in the world. Pusha and Jeremih rap and sing in front of a filtered, ebullient piano backdrop that sounds like something from the '20s. Getting money is a timeless pursuit.
"The Land" and its soundtrack both release on July 29. Check out the full tracklist here.
Quotable Lyrics
Remember sleeping on the rooftops
No what I'm driving now, the roof drops
No more skating through my tube socks
Young wild niggas like The Boondocks
