Sources say that Prince's emergency plane landing last week was not caused by the flu, but by a drug overdose.

Much of the speculation of the cause Prince's death has been a discussion of his mysterious emergency plane landing last week as he returned to his native Minnesota following a concert in Atlanta. While reports had previously attributed the unscheduled landing to the flu, TMZ is now reporting that the singer required treatment for a drug overdose.

After Prince's private jet touched down in Moline, Illinois last Friday, he was rushed to a hospital, where doctors reportedly injected him with a "'save shot'... typically administered to counteract the effects of an opiate.

Prince was reportedly "not doing well" when he left the hospital three hours after he checked in. An autopsy scheduled for today will reveal the cause of the singer's untimely death. HNHH will keep you posted with further developments.
