President Obama, Jay-Z and Beyonce's fundraiser took place last night at the 40/40 Club in NYC. The event went very well as they were able to raise millions in support of Barack Obama.
The crowd of 100 people paid 40k each to attend, and were able to raise a reported $4 million. President Obama spoke to the audience on his life, and work as President, and thanked Hov and B for being there to help.
Beyonce didn't hesitate to show her support for Obama, as if hosting the even wasn't enough, she said to the elite group, as reported by the New York Times, "I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama," continuing, "We believe in his vision."
When Obama took the stage, he returned thanks to the power couple, "To Jay and Bey, thank you for your friendship." The President also drew a comparison of his life to that of Jigga's, "Jay knows what my life is like," he continued to explain, "we both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are."
