Party Next Door has drawn comparisons to artists like The Weeknd, and it's hard not to see why. Both singers are based in Toronto and boast chilling voices that cut through any and all ambient-kin track work.
PND's new song, "Persian Rugs," showcases his talents perfectly, in what could be seen as a love song. If not, of course, a devastatingly blunt "love" song. But Party Next Door has made a career of sharp, dark songwriting not mincing words.
This song might be a little slower than his general ouevre and it boasts more singing than rapping on this outing, but it's a sound that suits him.
Quotable Lyrics:
Persian rugs
But she's from Nicaragua
Thought she was Persian love
Are we turning on or we wasting time
Girl, don't waste my time
