Those who pinned O.T. Genasis as a one-hit wonder have been proven wrong, as the Long Beach rapper's Rhythm & Bricks single "Cut It" has had similar chart success to his 2014 single "CoCo." And most will agree that "Cut It" is a much better song than "CoCo," especially considering the remix package that Genasis has unveiled. The original, released in September of last year, boasted a worthy feature from Memphis trapper Young Dolph, and earlier this month, Genasis shared a remix featuring two of the hottest stars in the South, Young Thug and Kevin Gates. He tagged it as "part one," and indeed, "part two" has now arrived, and it was worth the wait. This time, Genasis has recruited two of the South's all-time greats in Lil Wayne and T.I.
Though the original was released over eight months ago, "Cut It" has come to life this year, and with these two new remixes, Genasis hopes that the song will continue to rattle the streets throughout the summer season ahead.
Quotable Lyrics
I don't know why you be playin'
Boy don't you know how much dis shit cost
See I don't think you understand
It cost me less than that to get you knocked off
- T.I.
