After releasing #WakeDaFucUp last year, Queens' Onyx is back with a new single, "Against All Authorities", and an upcoming EP on the way. The group, or duo, now consists of Sticky Fingaz and Fredo Starr. We've enjoyed Fredo's recent solo work, but "Against All Authorities" features the vicious back-and-forth raps that made us fuck with Onyx in the first place.
Onyx have never been down with the pigs, though, in the wake of rampant police brutality, their new fuck-the-police anthem is more pertinent than ever. The song begins with a recording of Nebraska Senator Ernie Chambers comparing the U.S. police to ISIS, and then Sticky and Fredo assault us with in-your-face, politically astute aggression.
"Against All Authorities" will appear Onyx's upcoming EP of the same name.
Quotable Lyrics
They don't wanna go to war with, rap music
What we bangin' at the law with
So keep your glocks high, aim for the ceiling
Here come them villains, gotta stop police killings
