Some people use Instagram to sell their beats. Others use the social media platform to sell drugs. It appears Harrison Garcia, who went by Cuban Harry, was using Instagram to do both. Earlier this week the Miami producer was charged earlier this week with racketeering, grand theft and trafficking in illegal drugs.
Garcia hadn’t made much of a name for himself in the music scene, but he had photos on his Instagram with the likes of Gerald Green of the Miami Heat and Chris Brown. He also appears in the video for Lil Wayne’s “Cut It Freestyle,” holding stacks of cash. Garcia, whose Instagram handle is Muhammad_A_Lean and has amassed over 37,000 followers, had been organizing and funding a group of burglaries which supplied him with the raw codeine & promethazine necessary to mix into lean.
Before getting caught, Garcia was living the high life (and posting about it on social media). He frequently shouts out Chris Brown’s Original Hood Bosses (OHB) crew, as well as posting pictures of luxury cars and vacations. During his arrest, Garcia took investigators to his stash house where they found a bunch of firearms (including an AK47) and over 3,000 Xanax pills. Homie was legit.
Moral of the story? Don’t sell drugs. Or if you’re going to sell drugs, don’t do it on Instagram.
