Over the past few years, five piece Atlanta collective Two-9 have made a name for themselves as independent artists, and now it looks as though all the hard work has paid off. Today the group officially announced their signing to Mike WiLL Made It's new Interscope imprint, Eardruma Records.
Having collaborated with the group a number of times since 2012 (most notably on the song "Everything"), WiLL is very stoked on Two-9: "There hasn't been a collective of creative coming out of Atlanta like Two-9 since Outkast," he said. "They have great energy, make dope music, and they're always trying to push things forward, not box themselves in. I respect their art, their grind, and their whole movement, and I'm excited to help them take their brand to the next level."
Understandably, Two-9 is excited as well. Member Curtis Williams said, "I'm really excited to start the next stage in this video game called Two-9," and Jace explained the deal further: "We'd been entertaining offers from other labels, but it didn't feel right until now. We have a personal relationship with Mike WiLL already, and Eardruma, along with Interscope feels like the perfect place for us to take the next step in our career."
Stay tuned for a debut album from the group (executive produced by Mike WiLL, naturally), and watch a video heralding their new deal below.
