Sometimes the best way to pay homage to your favorite artists is to sample them in your own music. BJ The Chicago kid did that this week with his James Brown homage, and now Mickey Factz big-ups Erykah Badu on his new song "U (Q)."
Sampling the Soulquarian's "Out My Mind, Just In Time," Factz's latest track is as jazzy and smooth as you'd expect. "Created out of love," according to Factz, the track "artistically covers, with the blessings from the ever magnificent Erykah Badu, a man's devotion for the person he is engaged with."
