It's always dope when you can tell a rapper is actually freestyling. Such is the case in Mick Jenkin's recent appearance on Tim Westwood's BBC radio show in London. Taking a break from his European tour, the fast-rising Chicago MC spit some off-the-dome bars over Mobb Deep’s timeless “Shook Ones” instrumental below.
For the longer interview portion, Mick talked on his old "Martyrs" video, explained his passion for cheese as well as the "drink more water" concept, shared his thoughts on Slim Jesus, and previewed his debut album The Healing Component. Boo-yah.
Check out "Shook Ones" freestyle above and watch the interview (and Mick's episode of "On The Come Up") below.
