Just before Christmas, evil pharma bro Martin Shkreli somehow got his hands on an advance copy of Lil Wayne's Carter V. His subsequent live-stream preview of the project caught Wayne's attention, resulting in an internal investigation on the possible source of the leak.
A report from TMZ now suggests that Wayne's team contacted Shkreli on Thursday in an effort to put a stop to any leaks. Shkreli is said to have assured Wayne's side that he won't be sharing further snippets of the album, and that he's the only one who scored a copy, as far as he knows.
Wayne has been holding Carter V hostage during his $51 million lawsuit with Cash Money and its co-founder Birdman. While Birdman recently suggested that C5 would be released soon, Wayne reportedly has no plans to share the music until the suit is settled.
