Magic wants Kobe in a player relations role.

Earlier today the Los Angeles Lakers announced that Magic Johnson will be taking over as the team's President of Basketball Operations, replacing Jim Buss.

Magic is reportedly already getting down to business and he's hoping to bring in fellow Lakers legend Kobe Bryant to help him turn the franchise around.

USA Today's Sam Amick is reporting that Magic wants Kobe to come back to the organization in a player relations role. Magic has previously stated that if he was in charge his first order of business would be to bring Kobe back into the fold.

Additionally, it is being reported that the Lakers are pursuing Kobe's agent, Rob Pelinka, to replace former GM Mitch Kupchak which will only add to the speculation that The Black Mamba could soon be working with the Lakers again.
