This year, with the release of Drake and Future's What a Time to Be Alive, there has been a renewed interest in joint projects. There are a few rumored joint tapes on the way, including Migos Thuggin, but we hadn't considered the possibility of a joint tape between two of the game's top producers. And that's just what we'll get if London on da Track and Metro Boomin decide to release London Boomin, as both ATL producers have recently suggested on Twitter.
We didn't know London and Metro traveled in the same circles, as this year has seen a strengthened partnership between London and Thugger, while Metro has closely aligned himself with Future, executive producing both DS2 and WATTBA. Earlier this month, there was a short-lived Twitter feud between Thug and Metro, but they quickly squashed the beef and dropped a new track, "Hercules," perhaps off their long-rumored Metro Thuggin project.
Thugger's focus right now is his debut album, Hi-Tunes, on which London says he produced every single track. If London and Metro are able to churn out London Boomin by year's end, it's a testament to the incredible hustle of Atlanta's best young producers.
