Earlier tonight, mysterious R&B act dvsn, whose OVO signing was revealed last month, was the special guest on episode 18 of OVO Sound Radio. At the end of dvsn's mix, Noah "40" Shebib got on the air to announce that dvsn's debut album, Sept. 5th, would be out tonight at midnight, a week ahead of the scheduled release date. Indeed, the OVO co-founder has made good on that promise, as Sept. 5th is now available on Apple Music.
Dvsn played two new tracks off Sept. 5th, "In + Out" and "Do It Well," during tonight's OVO Sound episode, and four additional album tracks -- "With Me," "The Line," "Too Deep," and "Hallucinations" -- were released late last year.
Little is known about dvsn except that the act includes a male vocalist with an ear for '90s R&B. It's unclear if dvsn includes anyone else -- rumors have suggested that "Hotline Bling" producer Nineteen85 is involved, as he introduced the world to dvsn last October by playing "The Line" during his own guest mix on OVO Sound.
Coming at the end of March, Sept. 5th will likely be the final OVO album released before Drake's Views from the 6, which is set to arrive in April. Stream and purchase Sept. 5th here.
