Lil Wayne rapped an impressive verse on Chance the Rapper's summer smash "No Problem," which came out about four months ago. Things have changed since then -- Wayne recently expressed "mental defeat" in light of his taxing legal battle with Cash Money Records. It was reported yesterday that he is in possession of the Tha Carter V masters, and will not fork them over to Cash Money until he gets compensated.
During his performance of "No Problem" yesterday on Ellen, Wayne looked anything but defeated as he updated the tail end of his verse to reflect his stance towards Cash Money and take a jab at the embattled swimmer Ryan Lochte in the process.
The verse's original line "And if that label try to stop me, there gon' be some crazy Weezy fans waiting in the lobby / mula, baby" seemed to reflect Chance's stance towards labels rather than his own. On Ellen, he substituted those lyrics with the more pointed, "And if Cash Money tries to stop me, I'mma let 'em rob me, yeah right, like Ryan Lochte."
