Lil Durk is back facing another gun charge violation. According to The Chicago Tribune, Durk, who vowed to stay outta trouble back in August, was arrested early Wednesday morning in a southwest suburb of Chicago.
The Tribune reports that a woman let the police officers into the residence where Durk was staying, and saw him standing near a kitchen island where the weapons were in plain sight, and arrested him knowing he was a felon. According to the police report, Durk was quoted as saying,
"I got those pipes (guns) 'cause (expletive) always be tryin' to take my bands (money)," as a reason why he had the weapons.
Police seized a Glock .45-caliber handgun with 11 rounds and a Springfield .45-caliber handgun with a magazine and 13 live rounds, but the Tribune reports that it isn't clear if they were loaded or not.
Durk, who was already on probation, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, and is expected to appear in bond court Thursday. His lawyer, Sam Adam Jr., feels very confident that Durk wasn’t in possession of the weapons.
Things aren’t looking too good for Durk at the moment, but hopefully his lawyer is right and this story isn’t as it seems. We’ll keep you posted on any further details that emerge.

[Update: Durk Released On Bond]
Initial reports indicated that Lil Durk would be held without bond following his most recent gun charges, but it appears either the information was false or the circumstances have changed, as Durk is a free man as of today.
Taking to Instagram, the Chicago rapper confirmed that he has been released on bond, and seemed confident that he would beat the case.
