Lil Durk recently signed a deal with French Montana's Coke Boys imprint, but his sucess in the rap game doesn't seem to have affected his tendency to get in trouble with the law.
Durk was investigated by police after receiving a call for a man with a gun around 3 a.m. last night. Cops pulled up to the scene ay the 7200 block of South Green Street, where the Life Ain't No Joke rapper was allegedly seen tossing a gun into his car, according to a source.
Police discovered a loaded .40-caliber firearm, and arrested Durk without incident.
The Coke Boy was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, for which he will appear in court on Thursday. Police report that this is his second offense.

[Update: Durk Held On $100,000 Bond, Maintains Innocence]
New information indicates that Lil Durk is currently being held on a $100,000 bond for his recent gun charge. Durk was allegedly caught with a .40 caliber handgun late Wednesday night, but his lawyer is maintaining that the rapper is innocent.
The Coke Boy emcee's attorney, Sam Adams Jr., claims to have nine affadavits from witnesses that support Durk's innocence of the charges. On of which allegedly admits the gun was his.
Adams also revealed that the rapper's wife Nicole Covone is pregnant with his child and "about to pop". Doctors are planning to induce labor Friday. when questioned after the hearingm Covone was also adamant that Durk had done nothing wrong. "He's not guilty. He's innocent," she said.

FakeShoreDrive is reporting that Lil Durk will be released from incarceration on June 19. The recent addition to the Coke Boy family is listed as having no bond from the Cook County Sheriff's Office. Previous reports suggested that the rapper was on a $100,000 bond for the charges, which his family maintains, so we'll have to wait and see if his release goes through.
