Lil Durk has steadily been gaining momentum since the release of his Signed To The Streets mixtape last year. While Durk has always been one of the most interesting and melodically-inclined rappers out of the Chircago's drill scene, things really began to come together for him off both strength of his latest project, and French Montana's co-sign.
It seems that Def Jam has given him the go-ahead for his major label debut, which he announced will be titled Remember My Name on his Twitter yesterday.
Following YG's My Krazy Life, Def Jam is looking like a good place for young rappers to release their albums in an uncompromising manner. Let's hope that Durk's record follows suit, as his mixtape work has definitely proven his ability to craft a full-length project.
No release date has been set just yet, but with the Chris Brown-assisted lead single dropping any day now, we may be looking at a summer release.
