Michigan brand Pelle Pelle has been in the game since the late 1980s, and was a favorite jacket for hip hop artists like 50 Cent and Fat Joe. They were even worn by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five during their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Now the urban outerwear brand has teamed up with anther midwest native in Lil Bibby to create a limited edition leather jacket.
The partnership celebrates the upcoming release of Bibby’s much-anticipated Free Crack 4 mixtape. Pelle Pelle stuck with their roots and created a leather jacket that is fittingly all white with black lettering. Lil Bibby’s name can be seen on the front and back of the jacket, with large ‘FC4’ lettering on the back to commemorate the mixtape. Fur lines the hood for a true winter-ready jacket.
In a video promo for the jackets, Lil Bibby explains that winter is his favorite season of the year, so the jacket was a perfect match for him. There is not official release date for Free Crack 4, and the same goes for this Pelle Pelle jacket. Judging by similar jackets on their site, it’ll run close to $1,000 if not more.
For the Lil Bibby or Pelle Pelle fans in the house, how does did the partnership turn out?
