Lil Bibby fans may still be processing Free Crack 3, but Bibby has already announced the next project, an album titled Free Crack 3: The Epilogue. With that album on the way, a mixtape on deck, Bibby had quite a bit to discuss with us during a recent interview.
The Chicago rapper discussed pursuing soulful-sounding beats on FC3, and linking up with Chicago legends like Common and R. Kelly, whom Bibby now considers homies. He also spoke on what will differentiate The Epilogue from the mixtape-- Bibby says to expect a return to the street-heavy sound that he came up with. "Back in my street mode, I been back in Chicago for a minute, so I'm going more street with it." He continues, "It's not really a debut album, it's like a street album, we just wanna give something to the fans."
"I'ma give them that," Bibby said of Free Crack 3: The Epilogue, "and then me and Herb, might give em the joint project everybody waiting for, and then I might come back at the end of the year with something else."
It sounds like we have a lot of music incoming from Bibby. Ready for that joint project with G Herbo?
