LeBron James and some of his teammates are refusing to stay at Donald Trump's SoHo hotel this week when the Cavs travel to New York to play the Knicks on Wednesday night.
According to Cleveland.com, the Cavs booked Trump SoHo for their two visits to Madison Square Garden this season prior to the election, but the team is accommodating LeBron and others who wish to sleep at non-Trump branded hotels.
General Manager David Griffin anticipates most of LeBron's teammates, including JR Smith, Richard Jefferson and Iman Shumpert, will follow his lead and sleep at an alternate hotel, even though Trump no longer holds any equity in the SoHo location.
LeBron and his teammates aren't the only ones who are boycotting Trump hotels this season. Last month ESPN reported that several teams including the Mavericks, Bucks and Grizzlies will no longer be staying at Trump-branded hotels in Chicago and NY during road trips.
