HNHH pays homage the women of hip hop for Women's History Month.

"This is ladies night and our rhymes is tight, oh this is ladies night...," Missy Elliott sang on the 1997 hit track, "Ladies Night" that she collaborated on with Angie Martinez, Lil Kim, Left Eye and Da Brat. The song was featured on the "Nothing to Lose" soundtrack. Just as the MCs mentioned above occupied space and declared their reign on "Ladies Night", women rappers have been doing the same in Hip Hop culture ever since it was started in the Bronx.

From Roxanne Shante to Salt-n-Pepa to Lil Kim to Angel Haze, these rhyme spitters have given their take on unity, relationships, independence, sexual freedom, money, agency, partying, the hood and more. HNHH couldn't let Women's History Month end without paying homage to the women in Hip Hop who have helped contribute to the genre and culture. So in no particular order, we've compiled a list of the dopest rap videos by women. If we've missed some of your favorites, share in the comments section.
