After a lengthy drought, the town of Philly is finally starting to produce some household names. The biggest star is, of course, Meek Mill, but two of the city's artists were included in this year's XXL Freshman class -- Lil Dicky and Lil Uzi Vert, the latter one of the hottest trappers in the game right now. The next Philly young bull who's poised to blow is Kur, a hungry street rapper who's been cosigned by Meek and has been showing off all kinds of range with the help of producer Maaly Raw, a go-to guy for Uzi. Kur is also an affiliate of the A$AP camp, and he's now shared the video to "Gold," featuring A$AP Twelvyy, who's having one of his best years in anticipation of his 2127301090 mixtape.
The purple-tinted "Gold" video finds Kur and Twelvvy laying back in the studio, rolling blunts, and kicking raps alongside a few close friends. Kur's stories of his hard come-up take on a powerful air of nostalgia when they're placed upon lightweight, zen trap productions like this one, which comes courtesy of Dougie On The Beat. Kur is also inspired to relax his flow and show off his singing voice. The good vibes heard here are similar to those he channeled on last month's "No Matter What," which has got to be one of the top Philly tracks of the year.
