I can't recall the last time Kid Cudi released new music. There was that unauthorized leak, and a movie soundtrack contribution, but not much of Cudder's personal releases. Finally Cudi changes that with the upload of a previously unheard cut "Love." The song harkens back to Cudi's Man on the Moon phase, with a Ratatat sample ("Sunblocks") on deck so fans should be vibing to this. Apparently the song was recorded during his Satellite Flight studio sessions though, and is self-produced with additional keys from Dot Da Genius. He wrote of the song, "Hope it brings you some peace if you have a lonely heart out there."
What do you think of it? Stay tuned as Kid Cudi is working on Man of the Moon 3 with his fan-favorite collaborators Emile Haynie, Plain Pat and A-Trak.
Quotable Lyrics
Don't be so down, c'mon young homie
You'll be okay you'll find real love
All of the stories the hero gets lonely
Now's the time to show what you're made of
