Kevin Gates is having to serve 180 days behind bars for kicking a female fan in the chest last summer at one of his concerts.

It looks like Kevin Gates will be spending the next few months behind bars. On Wednesday, a judge reportedly ordered the Louisiana rapper to serve 180 days at Polk County Jail after a jury found him guilty of misdemeanor battery on Wednesday.

The charges stem from an incident last Summer, when Gates was caught on camera kicking a female fan in the chest at a concert he had in Florida. Gates has claimed his innocence from the jump, saying he was defending himself under Florida’s “Stand your Ground” law, but the jury wasn't buying it.

The state requested Gates receive 60 days in jail with a one-year probation sentence, but judge decided to triple their request & give him 180 days instead.
