Kendrick Lamar reveals his new album will be filled with "aggression and emotion," and not too many features.

We've been scraping up every detail about Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated follow up to good kid, m.A.A.d city, as the details have been scarce. Last week Kendrick's TDE label mate SZA spoke briefly on the album, but as far as the rapper himself, he's keeping everything tightly under wraps. Although we were told awhile back from Anthony 'Top Dawg' Tiffith that the album would arrive in September, we haven't been updated on a time frame since then. Could Kendrick be going the Beyonce route with this one?

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, K. Dot opened up a bit about the forthcoming project. "There was a lot left out of good kid—it could have been a 30-track album," he told the publication (via Rap-Up). "There are a few new [songs] that can tie in with what I was talking about."

In terms of producers, Kendrick has kept most things in-house, working with his Aftermath boss Dr. Dre, as well as TDE's Digi + Phonics. As for Dr. Dre, the two apparently have "a bunch of tracks" together. "He’s gone in the lab and tried to really elevate himself," Kendrick said in reference to Dre.

Kendrick continued to reveal facts about the album, including that we shouldn't expect very many features. "I have so much to say," he said, adding, "It’s almost selfish of me." As far as what we can expect from the album, Kendrick keeps it simple: "aggression and emotion."
