As the anticipation grows for Kendrick Lamar's new album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, he isn't giving too much away before the release date of October 2nd.
While talking to CBC after a performance with Mac Miller & Wiz Khalifa in Toronto, the Compton emcee spoke on features in the album, revealing they will be kept to a minimum.
Of his solo LP, K.Dot says, "I like the element of surprise. It's more in-depth."
Although we already know Gunplay is featured on the album, with the single "Cartoon & Cereal," and Dr. Dre, on "The Recipe," many are wondering who else will grab a guest spot on good kid, m.A.A.d city.
It seems like there won't be many spots to grab, as Kendrick says he's selfish, "I’m selfish – it’s all me," he said, laughing. "I’ve got to pick what feels right. I never go into it thinking, ‘I want to get these people on there.’ No, I don’t force nothing and right now it’s turning out to be all me."
"People get in this position and feel like they need the big producers, the big artists," Lamar explained. "Nah – I’m still hungry. I want to show and prove to the non-believers."
