The other day a rumor was circulating the web about Kanye West's next album, hypothesizing it would be titled I Am God. Although it seemed a bit extreme, even for Kanye West, it seemed plausible. Now more details have surfaced about where this possible title came from.
Huffington Post has spoken to a reliable source from Kanye West's camp which refutes the story about 'Ye's next album being called I Am God, and says that will actually be the title of his upcoming single, except missing a vowel.
The source says Kanye's new single will be called "I Am (A) God," which extra emphasis on the A.
"We would never be so presumptuous or sacrilegious to call ourselves the supreme being," the source told Huffington Post. Apparently this is in reference to Psalm 82, which says:
I said, “You are gods,
And all of you are children of the Most High.
But you shall die like men,
And fall like one of the princes.”
Malik Yusef, a songwriter in the G.O.O.D. Music camp, confirmed this as well with a tweet to @TeamKanyeChi, seen below.
