Kane Grocerys teams up with WeDidIt producers D33J and Shlohmo for "Columbine Homicide."

The eclectic L.A. beatmaking crew known as WeDidIt, home to Shlohmo, RL Grime, Ryan Hemsworth, and more, has been making exciting moves in the hip-hop world over the past several months. In addition to their joint EP with Tory Lanez (our #6 best tape of 2015), they have been teaming up with underground/up-and-coming rappers for an exciting series of collabs. WeDidIt's latest drop -- release #4 on the Tombstone Recordings imprint -- comes with rapper Kane Grocerys of the L.A. crew Goth Money.

Going off the title, "Columbine Homicide" is a dark, painful track. The beat, coming from D33J and Shlohmo, is a contrast of light synths and bleeps with booming, hyperspeed 808s. There's a powerful clarity as well as a bleak apathy to Grocerys' raps, which often detail murder scenes. When all the elements come together, it's a visceral listening experience.

WeDidIt also has a joint project with Pollari, an exciting young talent out of Atlanta, on the way. We'll be looking forward to that along with future collabs with Goth Money.

Quotable Lyrics

It's a crazy world out here
People killin' peers, sippin' beer
On the corner, call the coroner
The murderers is murderin'
Them dudes around the corner
Fuck the police and the population in that order
