Last Monday, we gave our congratulations to Drake after the Canadian rapper snagged his first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, with VIEWS record "One Dance." Unfortunately, the honor has swiftly passed, as Justin Timberlake arrives at #1 this week in place of Drake.
Justin Timberlake recently came back into the limelight with the release of a new record for the "Trolls" soundtrack, "Can't Stop the Feeling," which is undeniably radio bait. Obviously it worked, because the record has managed to debut at #1 this week. In the midst of this new record, JT has also given several interviews where he reveals a new album is in the works, so it's safe to say we haven't seen the end of him.
"Can't Stop the Feeling" breaks a record or two for Justin Timberlake-- it's his first single to ever debut at #1, and it's also only the 26th record in Billboard history to debut at #1 on the Hot 100. Not only that, it's the highest-selling weekly sales for a song from Timberlake, upending the weekly sales for his 2013 hit with Jay Z, "Suit & Tie." It seems the world was extremely ready for new music from Justin.
Meanwhile, as mentioned, Drake's "One Dance" falls from #1 to #2, while Desiigner slips as well, from #2 to #3.
