Joey Bada$$ has been keeping himself busy, when he's not putting his acting skills to test with a role on "Mr. Robot," the rapper has likely been in the studio working on his upcoming album A.A.B.A. He's been giving us updates along the way, too-- in October it was apparently 90% finished, and in November, an early 2017 release was promised.
Well, early 2017 is here and Joey is definitely kicking into gear. After co-opting Martin Luther King Jr. Day to release the poignant tribute "Land of the Free" he returns today with something a little less serious, "Victory." The record is part of the NBA's Courtside Project in collaboration with Mountain Dew and thus isn't actually an A.A.B.A release (but it'll do, right).
Joey Bada$$ will be heading down to NOLA for NBA All-Star Weekend where he'll perform the record live for the first time. It's produced by Pro Era member Kirk Knight and Adam Pallin. Take a listen.
Quotable Lyrics
Hol up, let's get back to business please
I'ma be here for awhile, know you sick of me
Y'all ain't real ballers y'all just little leagues
And we ain't takin' no losses we the winning team
