Joe Budden holds nothing back on "Making a Murderer," a diss track that Drake won't be able to avoid.

As promised, Joe Budden has officially released a diss track aimed at the game's biggest star. The beef -- I suppose we can properly call it that now -- began when Budden gave an unfavorable review of Drake's VIEWS on his podcast. That seemed to bother the 6 God, as a snippet of a verse from a yet-to-be-released French Montana collab seemingly found him going after the "Pump It Up" rapper. Budden himself felt that Drake hit him with many subliminals on "4PM in Calabasas," released earlier this month. Diddy was a more obvious target, and Budden prompted the Bad Boy boss to drop a response track, but he's since taken on that duty himself. His diss track is titled "Making a Murderer." "Part 1" is attached to the title in parenthesis, so perhaps the diss will be an ongoing saga like the Netflix series for which it's named.

He maintains that he's still a fan of Drake, though he admonishes him for going after a veteran emcee with "nothing to lose." The track attacks Drake where he's vulnerable -- namely the ghostwriting accusations that have become associated with his name in the wake of his beef with Meek Mill. More importantly, though, "Making a Murderer" is Budden's way of telling Drake that his status at the top comes with responsibilities. If one slips up -- such as awakening the inner-murderer of a patently talented lyricist -- he should be held accountable.

The track incorporates a clip taken from a conversation between Drake and Budden that was uploaded to Joe Budden TV in 2009. During the snippet that comes after Budden's intro verse, Drake tells Budden that he's "honored" to be around him and that "he's one of the best."

Quotable Lyrics

I'm right here per your request, now you stuck in them shoes
No alliances with Meek, it's still fuck him too
Before we start, to the fans, I'm uncomfortable too
Stuck in the booth feelin' like y'all cause I got love for the dude
But now my phone blowin' up, they're like what I'm gonna do?
Show the world you shouldn't poke a man with nothin' to lose
All of this just because I wasn't in love with his Views
Whatever happened, I just know they got me fuckin' confused, hey
