For those unfamiliar, Jesse Richeeds, better known as JayR, was a promising young emcee from Killingly, Connecticut. Unfortunately, he succumbed to a severe asthma attack in his dorm room at the University of Connecticut on August 25th, 2013. Although he was studying pharmacy, he was also very much dedicated to his dream of becoming a hip-hop artist.
The thirteen-track Late Nights, Deep Thoughts album collects his strongest and most recent work, music he'd planned on releasing this year. Please be considerate and listen with an open mind.
Here's a word from his camp:
"JayR had big hopes of bettering the life of his parents, sisters, and friends. In high school, his grades and athletic ability stood out tremendously. He was an all-state athlete and team captain in both football and track. He was a role model to everyone. He was an artist, a scholar, and an athlete. But more importantly, he was an incredible friend, brother and son. JayR's potential has not gone unnoticed. In his senior year, fellow peers of Killingly High School's class of 2012 voted him 'Most Likely To Be Successful'. JayR was loved by so many... He would want nothing more in the world than for people to hear the hard work that he donated to this project. We would like to sincerely say thank you for downloading. Rest in peace to Jesse Richeeds. Your personality, sense of humor, work ethic and genuine heart will always be remembered. Not a goodbye, but a 'see you later'."
Amen.
