Jay Z says he copped three pairs of Big Baller Brand sneakers.

It's official, Jay Z is a big baller.

During an appearance on the Rap Radar Podcast, Jay-Z explained that while LaVar Ball has a big mouth he respects his vision and supports the Big Baller Brand. In fact, he went out and bought three pairs of Lonzo Ball's Big Baller Brand ZO2 Prime signature sneaker.

"He may go about things wrong, he may have a big mouth. But I bought three pairs. Why did I buy three pairs? That man has a vision of his own," Jay-Z said. "Why wouldn't I support him? Why wouldn't I support him? He feels like he can move culture, and his son got a big enough name, and a big enough brand, that they can do it."

"Nike had to start somewhere. Why do we get so upset when we, us as a culture want to start our own shit? That shit is puzzling to me. I sit back like, and I'm like, 'This makes no sense.' Why can't he start a sneaker [company]? [People say] 'You're dumb, your sneakers are terrible.' They [weren't] any more terrible than ... I've seen some bad sneakers from Under Armour, I've seen some bad Michael Jordan sneakers. Horrible."

The $495 Big Baller Brand ZO2 Prime won't be shipping out until November but Jay Z will be one of the first people to get their hands on the most talked about sneakers of the year.

Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball wore his signature kicks in select games throughout the NBA's Summer League, though he wasn't exclusive to the Big Baller Brand. In addition to the ZO2 Prime he also rocked the Air Jordan 31 Low, James Harden's Adidas Harden Vol. 1, Kobe Bryant's Nike Kobe A.D., and Steph Curry's Under Armour Curry 4.

After one of the many games where he didn't wear his Big Baller Brand signature shoe, Lonzo explained that when you're a big baller you have the freedom to do as you please.

Per ESPN,

"Big Baller Brand, you've got freedom to do whatever you want," Ball said on the ESPN broadcast after the game. "I'm showcasing that."

TMZ recently caught up with Lonzo who said he's just thankful and appreciative that someone like Jay Z would support his family's brand.
