[UPDATE: Chris Rock Is Hosting The 2014 BET Awards]

BET Awards follow up the list of nominees we received yesterday (all of which you can find above), with news of this year's host. Comedian Chris Rock will be hosting the 2014 BET Awards. Good choice?

He tweeted the announcement, and also released a statement about his hosting duties: "I watch the BET Awards every year. It’s one of my favorite award shows combining people from movies, sports, TV and music. Where else can you get Rick Ross and Michelle Obama in the same room?! The BET Awards is like a party where nothing is off limits. My peers have done the show now it’s my turn."

The awards show goes down on June 29th at 8 PM at the Nokia Theatre in L.A., and will be broadcast live.
