The last we heard from Jahzel was back in July 2013 with the release of the rapper's reader-approved "One Day." Now, the emcee returns with "Faithful," a smooth new cut being premiered right here at HNHH. Utilizing a sample of DJ Rogers' "Faithful To The End"--which was famously used by Common and Kanye West on a Be track also titled "Faithful"--the record finds Jahzel reflecting on his own childhood in Chicago with great love and respect. Give the track a listen and let us know what you think in the comment section.
Jahzel's The Wake Up hits stores in early 2015. Stay tuned as we cover the rollout. Meanwhile, be sure to follow Jahzel on Twitter for all of the latest and greatest.
Quotable Lyrics:
Born and raised
I think back some days
To that summer time watching Jordan play
They were killin’
Him, Phil, and Pippen,
Whole city loved them, had six parades
