Yesterday afternoon Colin Kaepernick's #7 jersey became the top selling jersey at NFL Shop, thanks to his polarizing decision to sit during the National Anthem in protest of racial inequality.
We recently saw J Cole and Trey Songz take the stage in Kaepernick's jersey as a show of support, and last night the Milwaukee Bucks' Jabari Parker followed suit. Sporting the black and red alternate 49ers jersey, Parker posted an image to his instagram account with a caption that read, "Never followed the wave but this one is necessary. I got your back homie @kaepernick7."
Only a handful of NFL players, including Kaepernick's teammate Eric Reid, and one women's soccer player, Megan Rapinoe, have joined in on the Anthem protest so far, but it's clear that many more athletes across all sports are coming out in support of this cause.
